Hi leadpipelouie. PM waiting for you with offer of spare wheel/carrier.

I was reminded about it when I was just reading your 2.2 engine swap thread. I'm about to do the same myself. Main lessons learned from your experience 1) Get the engine from another Z3 not a 3/5 Series to make sure everything is as straightforward as possible 2) label and note every connection on a checklist 3) don't bin the old engine until the new one is in and running.

2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s :)
Always happy to try and help with spares :)
