Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye to my Zed.
I've had 4 fantastic years from her, but due to a sudden loss of a parent, i've inherited a small diesel run-around which, along with my forthcoming motor of the two-wheeled persuasion, will suit my needs better - therefore the Zed is going on Saturday.
I have, however, removed the strut brace, which i'd like to offer to a member on here prior to advertising on ebay.
My car is/was a 2000 (W) 2.0l version.
The brace was bought directly from Strong Strut in the US in the middle of 2006, and import tax was paid - unlike some lucky buggers on here who managed to avoid it!
It's a matt black textured one.
I have no idea of it's value, so i'm open to sensible offers. However, i'd really prefer not to have to post the item; but will assist anyone to fit it at my house in Rochdale, for their improved journey back whenst they came.
Post here, or PM. Either way's good. If no seller is found, it'll be on ebay from 9th November.
Thanks to all - this site's been invaluable during my zed ownership.

Nooooo. Say it isn't so.trickyb wrote:Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye to my Zed.
Really sorry to hear your news. May I offer my sincere condolences.
Best of luck with the new wheels and remember you don't need a zed to pop by on here occasionally.
Cheers R.

Sorry, Robert. It's true.
However, i don't think it'll be the last time i own a zed - just won't be anytime soon.
OK - to answer a few questions already posted.
Sorry, i have no idea how much they cost currently. I suppose it varies with the strength of the £ against the $, and whether you get stung for the income tax. Neither have i had time to take photo's as yet - we all know what one looks like, and it's as new!
I've had an offer from DESIRO - who, as the first respondant has been given first refusal - he's currently checking whether it'll fit the Z3M
I've also noted PM from W4LKR asking the same question. Unfortunately, i don't know - but i'm sure someone does.
I'll post ASAP with John's (Desiro) decision re purchase.
Thanks again.
