They look great
Is any modifying needed to get normal 135i brakes to fit the z3m? have you made any changes to them?

Would be good if these can be made to fit the Z3m's.
I looked into it last year as there are several companies in the UK offering these as cheap BBK upgrades for various BMW models but I was told by two of them that they could not be adapted to fit the Z3m's
To be honest I'm not very technical when it comes to brakes but I could not really understand why they could not be made to fit. Perhaps as implied above they require some machining and they just could not be bothered to develop a Z3m solution perceiving the market to be too small ?

Piston diameters seem a bit small. I should be able to double check that for you when I get to work tomorrow. Have you measured the pistons to get those figures? The bores will be a bit bigger than the pistons. Effective size is 51.1mm from the figures you state. Standard //M fronts are 60mm so you need 14" rotors for these to give the same brake effort. Any smaller and the rears will lock up before the fronts - not what you need. Thats for the Z3M though, other cars are likely to have different piston sizes. Its important to consider the piston area and rotor diameter when changing brakes, otherwise brake balance can be cocked up.
Z3M with a few mods...and a little bit more power
Thanks ...that're few mods not showed on forums till now, like Acura TSX projectors in stock headlights and alcantara steering wheel .komis wrote:not completely related to this thread, but, piotres, i followed your signature link... all the work you've done on your Z is truly amazing
I've just sold calipers locally (to Warsaw). They'll be used in track 330Ci E46.
