Don't buy second hand dampers.

Or brakes..

Or steering parts..

You know why.

i just bought a front left and right from ebay (but it is straight from eurocarparts) and they were £30 for one and £50 for the other.
always replace in pairs or it could prove to be a big mistake.

Always buy shocks in pairs.

what are they like to replace?

also spotted i have a leak at the bottom corners of my rear screen, there is no 'beading' on the screen as i have seen on others? coud this be a cheap aftermarket screen and need replacing?

many thanks!

Easily fixed - see attached link. You simply need to clean underneath, squirt in your glue and ease the canvas back under the rubber strip with a credit card. It's glued down from new by BMW but the glue breaks down over the years. Mine was pouring in the two bottom corners when I got my car two years ago - been as dry as a bone since. :D

that's the one I bought. I also used anschler rear shocks and they seem very well built. according to eurocarparts website they are built to OEM spec.
they are very easy to replace but you will need a jack, axle stands, socket set / spanners and spring compressors and I would be tempted to replace the top mounts to be on the safe side.
there is a video on youtube showing how to replace them.
if you want any more info, pm me.
hope it helps.

The do you perhaps have a replacement roof with a sewn-in rear window? You should be able to see a zip on the inside if it is an original.
