Bmw z3 m roadster
Bmw z3 m roadster
Hi guys
I'm considering selling my pride and joy. As much as I'd like to keep it forever I think it's time I downgraded due to new responsibilities and lack of cash.
If anyone is interested please contact me... If not I'll hang on to it for as long as I can ha ha
At least this will keep the girlfriend happy
Bmw z3 m roadster
Cosmos black
28000 miles
Mot until march, taxed until Feb
Blue/black leather seats and trim
Fully kitted out with ac Schnitzer including
Exhaust system, roll hoops, short shift gear changer, handbrake handle, suspension, and mats
The engine looks and runs smooth, I have upgraded the air filter to a simota carbon fiber one, mainly to smarten up the image of the engine bay, but I'm sad like that lol
The car has service history, mainly bmw but previous owner has not had the service book stamped for a couple of years during which time small mileage was done.
There are no issues with the alarm, spot welding in the boot, soft top, or to my knowledge vanos.
I also have a hardtop available with fitting kit. This can either be sold with the car at an agreed price or separately
I am looking for around 8000 this is without the hardtop
This is a brilliant car, much loved but it's time to get a more practice car and pay off some outstanding bills
Plenty of photos available, if interested email me
Regards
Steve

With that milage I think you are but then again it depends how desperate you are to sell?steve01 wrote:It's a 1998 model I'll get some pics on lol. Hope I'm not under pricing.
Pricing is a personal thing on how much its worth to you and the next buyer. Plus it depends on what condition the car is in.

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Steve, please check my PM which I sent you some time ago regarding ACS parts. Just name your price - it will be easer for you to sell car if it will cost even less but in total you will get more. It's a win/win.

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Hi Steve
MIght be interested in the hardtop if available separate as I need one for my Imola ///M. Think I could get away with black on red as Jontt has.
Bearing in mind I'm in Belfast and would have to come over to collect, can you please PM how much would you be willing to part with it for and what condition is it in? I've only looked at one over here and it was badly rusted beneath the rubber seals. I'd appreciate some piccies too.
I already have a fitting kit
Thanks
Conor

Wow, bargain with that mileage and genuine / rare / valuable / desirable ACS parts
Good luck with the sale, its the type of Z3m you could never replace so good luck with your next car(s) and remember better to have owned and sold than to have never owned at all
ps for those thinking of this car remember your getting (second hand values) a £750 hardtop incl fitting kit, £500+ ACS hoops, £250 Simota induction kit plus the other ACS goodies thrown in. Thats got to be £2.5k of desirable accessories making it a £6,300 Z3m with that low mileage = bargain to the right buyer

If anyone buys it, I am ready to buy ACS roll hoops from buyer for a very good price. I can also give black OEM roll hoops in excellent condition (they are no longer available at bmw dealers) to place instead of ACS roll hoops. That is the chance to reduce total price you pay for car even more.
Or if anyone has ACS roll hoops for sale or knows someone who has those - please let me know.

I keep looking at this car and imagining it outside my house with a black Hamann hard top on...
Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Could be yours ... Would look very nice on the driveway and bloody hell u got good eye sight to notice the carbon fibre door trims lol. When I purchased the car it also had acs alloys so it would appear that someone once upon a time spend a fortune on this car. Did bmw do any official acs z3 models or just acs accessories as additions
Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Hi NO bmw never did any models, they just approved the parts for a few years.
I know this as I supplied bmw gb with the parts for test fit.
ACS parts might look good to some people but the general fitment and finish quality of the products were rubbish... Fitting time always took twice as long as book time + had to flat, filled and primed.

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Thanks for that Clive.
Maybe building the parts to fit was difficult but I can assure you that in terms of quality and fitment the acs parts on my car not only look good but fit well at the same time. I havnt found any problems so maybe I'm just fortunate lol

BMW did do a limited edition AC Schnitzer production car and they were RHD but for the South African market onlyClivebse wrote:Hi NO bmw never did any models, they just approved the parts for a few years.

In the uk the were official parts and could be ordered direct via BMW. I have new schnitzer wheels in their original boxes which are labelled Up for the BMW parts dept.
Schnitzer did not actually make any of the parts but rather commissioned manufacturers to make bespoke versions of existing parts for them eg the roll hoops. They are usually very good quality as a german company officially supplying BMW they had to have full TUV approval where appropriate. However some of the more bespoke stuff for the Z3 could be hit and miss eg the rear diffusers where withdrawn from sale due to quality issues so are very rare.
The carbon kit is rare (the full kit includes centre console etc...) and can still be supplied to order (daveP coupe has a new kit installed)
Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
I got in touch with ACS yesterday to see if they can still supply roll hoops. Sadly they swiftly replied they are discontinued.
I was hoping it would be like with the Hamann hardtop I bought - thought to be discontinued but actually not. Sadly its not to be.
I hope to pick up a pair one day.

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Don't want to hijack thread, but have you tried contacting alumex regarding the roll bars?
Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Don't hold your breath with them..... A couple of years ago a member on here placed an order with them and paid.........eventually they repaid him when delivery was not forthcoming.......I guess they could not be bothered making a one off set for him

Ive had some discussions with Evolve recently with regard to a CSL airbox and alpha-n remap. It would be an option to combine this with new cams but they have not got back to me

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
I've just been admiring this on Autotrader, this is the perfect car for me!
I've got a 3.0 with all the ACS kit and I've always planned to carry it over to an M when I can afford to upgrade but that would rule out p/ex and require me to get the full funds for the M up front and then sell mine.
Sadly I can't afford this at the moment unless you're willing to do a straight swap Steve

Hiya mate, I don't blame you for trying but as I'm sure u will understand I can't accept a part exchange. If you manage to get the funds I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
The car unfortunately has limited service history so I have based the price on that issue. I have reduced the price to £7800 this price excludes the hardtop. I have advertised the simota air induction kit elsewhere so car will be sold with original air filter unit. I am also advertising the roll hoops so it's first come first served I.e if I sell hoops seperate before anybody views the car then the car will be sold a little cheaper but with original hoops
Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. Is there a new recession on the way?? If I wouldn't have just bought mine a couple months back, I would be already there kicking tyres.
IMHO too much attention is given to the service history, especially on toys like Z3(M). A lot of people buy this kind of special cars for occasional sunday drives and a bit of hobbying, and during the week they just sit in the garage or under cover. Given low mileage and lack of service history from the years the previous owner had the car, a fairly safe assumption can be made that the car just wasn't used very much. As long as the overall condition and wear&tear of the car supports this assumption, no worries. I haven't obviously seen the car in person but I'm sure Steve can confirm this.
Modern, or even slightly less modern cars from major manufacturers are equally happy being driven often or very occasionally. For reference, I have a 1987 MR2 SC in Finland. It needed some work, and as I've been living abroad for quite while, I could only work on it a couple of days a year. I just started it about once a year so that the engine wouldn't seize. Last summer I finally got it MOT'd, and over my holiday did quite a few kms with no problems whatsoever - even the brakes were fine after a couple of kms of exercise.
Even a low number of receipts wouldn't worry me: If the car hasn't been used, it hasn't needed anything. Nor high number of owners: a toy car like this is bound to have owners who want one, drive it a bit and then want aother toy, or must downgrade due to insufficient contraception.
Come on, someone with a lesser Z buy this already! There won't be such opportunities arising next spring...
Rant / free sales pitch over.

Re: Bmw z3 m roadster
Your absolutely correct ... And I havnt even paid you to say that
According to the dealer who sold me the car, the previous owner felt seriously ill and so 8 years of its life where mainly spend gathering dust. The car is spot on I have no reason to suspect that this car has done anymore miles then quoted. The condition is excellent. There is a slight scrape to the front bumper ... Other than this it's spot on really.
In comparison to my last z3m this car is show room condition.
My only complaint about this car is there is a slight leak from the window seal but I'm sure with some concentration and time this problem can be sorted.
My reason for changing car is that I now need something I can afford to drive. This car spends the majority of its time within my garage or on my drive. I get a lot of complements from passer byes but as If only I had the spare cash to have this as a summer car or second car.... I'm afraid that I don't which is why I am looking at selling.
There is about 9000 miles from memory missing in its service history. Although not a great deal I think the history is missing from 2002-2010 and then begins again
Gaurentee anyone who sees this car will not leave without it ... Providing they have the cash that is lol
