"NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Just want to thank the guys that have ordered these new center armrests from me. I can say that to date 8 have been ordered, and consequently, I've just ordered parts for another 10 more. The first complete kits will be ready for posting off on saturday...Fortunately, one will be black leather with black anodised parts, and the other will be black leather with silver anodised parts...this means I'll be posting pics of both options with the same leather finish which will provide a neat comparison.... Also, they will have been throught the full process of bead blasting prior to anodising so you'll be able to see the "finished" look....
Anyone wanting to place an order now, the expected production time will be around 10 days, plus aprox 6 days in the post. They are currently at a really good price...£.87.00 excluding postage....(Postage is £.18.00). This compares favourably to the £145.00 incl for the OEM cupholder/armrest from Roadster Solutions.
If you want to see some pics of this item, check out my previous post "10am....Saturday 29th" where I posted pics of the armrest fitted into my car...albeit in a somewhat unfinished state.

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Update.....
here is a pic of the side brackets and the cupholder in both black and silver anodised finish.... I'll be collecting the nuts, washers etc on tuesday which are being "treated" to make them black TOO. I'll post a couple of pics of the fully assembled kit (uninstalled) so you guys can get an idea of the final assembled look...
.....and a pic of the "new style trimmed" finish armrest. The bottom of this armrest is trimmed so that the finish is professional and complete. The underside is perfectly flat which also allows the fold-away cupholder to be moved unhindered....

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
...those guys that bought and paid for already have aquired a bargain at the price!! I was somewhat taken aback this morning when I went to post them off...The parcel weight packed came in at just on a kilo...and that attracted a higher rate by those few extra grams.... So, for those who may be buying in future, the price is now £. 125.00 incl postage...
Anyhow, it's still a very good price for the quality and comfort as well as the fact that it doesn't restrict the access to the OEM storage, and still provides the facility of a cup holder....I'll be interested to hear the "responses" from those that have bought it, and those who will no doubt see it at various meets over there....

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Nice thought... cups...
I'll be doing ONE "super, highly polished, silvery ally set over this weekend....also, I will be having the tops of the side brackets engraved with the "roadster" type style...the engraving will be individually done to both brackets so that it is legible correctly when seated in either the driver or passenger seat...the engraved "logo" will be in black.
Anyone interested in this "one off" version can PM me...

Armrest fitted today, looks great but I`m going to have to get some new gaitors for the handbrake and gear lever now. They look shabby against the new armrest. Elbow rests in just the right place, very comfy. Thumbs up from me . Thanks Barry

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
.... good man, and thanks mate... how long did it take to fit ?
Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Half an hour, tops. Thought I would have problems with slip nuts but when I stuck screwdriver in them and waggled it they disappeared who knows where!
Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Yes, mines in as well. An excellent piece of kit, my elbow rests on it just right. Thanks Barry.

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
..... thanks Dave... Pity I couldn't give you a 100% match on "Orchid white"... but I'm sure you'll fix that easily...
Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
I would like to see one fitted to a car
Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
Boysie, here's mine fitted. The colour of the leather in the photo isn't the right white (it's too white) but since I took the photos I've re-dyed with a cream(ish) dye we had used on some furniture which looks better. I'll see how it goes but may have to get some real Lotus White leather dye.
The instructions Barry provides are very comprehensive and it took me about 30 minutes to fit.
An excellent addition to any Zed

The armrest looks good
Regarding the colour
I had my tonneau spray matched to my seats, get a professional to do it
You will be pleased

Agreed Boysie, I used Bespoke Leathering in B'ham to do the seats a couple of years ago. May have to pop in to see John, see what he can do.Boysie wrote:I had my tonneau spray matched to my seats, get a professional to do it. You will be pleased

Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
..... so, how does driving feel to have an armrest to use on the left??
Re: "NEW" Z3 CENTER ARMRESTS....
It`s great Barry, just what you need for a long drive on the motorway. I love the look and the fact that the tray underneath is still easy to get at.
