Exterior Door Handles for Z3 Roadster

Post by johnz3 »

Looking to buy a set of the above. Don't want to pay £30 plus for chrome quality ones as will be spraying them the colour of the car. Cheap plastic will do but the ones I have seen are for the Coupe which have the key holes both sides. The Roadster only has a key hole on the drivers side. Anyone got a pair that they might want to sell. Thanks.

If you're going to have them painted, why not use your existing handles? they will need to be sanded and prepped for painting anyhow, so any small scratches can be dealt with in the preparation... :?: :?:

I had thought of that, but looking through how to remove them thought that it would be too much of a job for me. Will have another look.

Different subject but great result. Actually managed to 'twist' the passenger wing mirror to expose the allen bolts. Well chuffed....................

Removing them is super-easy. Takes about 2 mins!

Thanks BladeRunner, Trying to see if that allows the actual handle to be removed. Any ideas please.

The handles come out with the mechanism... then you need to strip them off that... it's really very simple... Give it a go !
