Welcome to the new ZRoadster site

Post by Robert T »

The upgrade went well and you are viewing this through the new phpBB 3 forum software. :D

You should find that pretty much everything has been preserved from the old fourm:
  • All users and passwords
  • All topics and posts
  • All private messages
  • All attachments
  • Tim's customizations - zed models, flags, the portal page etc.
If you do find anything missing, please can you let me know ASAP.

A few things have moved about, so if you are struggling with the new board, please do feel free to ask.

Cheers R.

Yes, you do. HTML has been banned in phpBB3 for security reasons. The BBCode handling is much better now, so you need to swap you HTML tag for a BBCode one. I can also add new BBCode tags should we need them.

Robert, you are a star and deserve a pay rise of at least 20%. Now what's 120% of £0?

Seriously, thanks for all of your effort and support.

Great job - well done to all concerned.

I was getting a bit worried as last night and early this morning (3am!) I was still getting the holding page but all is well now.

Well not quite all as the first phone call I got after arriving in Scotland was from Mrs ZC to say that the boiler had packed up and she had no heating or hot water. Perhaps it was not the best thing to mention the power shower, etc in the hotel - wonder if the locks will have been changed by the time I get home.

Robert after a few days now it seems that my pages are not loading properly.

On posts from you I have a red x where your signature would be. Also some other posters avatars are not there, a red x instead.

Any ideas why this would be, are there any adjustments I can make on my laptop to rectify this.

Thanks Ragtop

Ragtop just reminded me of something. If any of you put zroadster in your hosts file when we had our little hosting glitch before Christmas, now would be a very good time to remove it, as it doesn't matter what the DNS says, you will always be directed to the old site and have to follow the link I placed on there to get to the site. Removing the entry will take you directly to the new site and also seems to fix a problem displaying avatars.

Cheers R.
