You should have had a couple of e-mails by now confirming the shipment details for the correct parts.

I know Paul and his team are a bit embarassed by this error but, having been in manufacturing/engineering for nearly 30 years, I know these things happen and the communication has been very good IMO and they have obviously done everything they can to sort it as quickly as possible. So it hasn't damaged their reputation in my eyes.

Thanks Jonty.

Yep, replacement parts are due to be shipped today (Monday 11th) so should arrive in 5-6 days.

So for those in the group buy....
If you DIDN'T get an email from Paul about this or DON'T get an email with your shipping number very soon, then let me know and I'll chase it up.

Yes defo. I have a strut fitted and it allows you to get on the power that bit earlier. Its great exiting roundabouts you can get it drifting door handles first under absolute control. When you get bored of it lift off the power a bit and the tail comes back in line nicely, no drama whatsoever...

I think thats what happened anyway........or is my memory failing?? :fade

I missed the Parcel Force delivery this morning, so had to go to my local Post Office to collect the parcel.

New parts seem to be Ok, but I'm finding the short screws a bit tight to fit - anyone else experiencing this?

Won't know till I get home but it is probably some of the applied finish in the threaded holes (I assume you are talking about the screws going into the bar mounting blocks). I seem to remember that the ones on mine are helicoiled but that may be because the one for the S54 is only available in aluminium and you would need the helicoils for thread strength.

Have you got access to any taps to clean the threads out with?

Mine looks like it's stuck in Coventry with HM Customs.

How's that for being born under a bad sign?

Just filling out the forms to get it released. Any idea how much customs duty and VAT comes to on a £215 item?

I thought i was going to be the only one
Got my HM letter through this morning. Looking at about £38 for VAT, and whatever charge they put on top of that.

I can see this taking some time though :head:

Oh dear.
Sorry to hear that chaps.
Really bad luck.

Have they caught the whole brace or just the replacement rings?

Mine's the whole thing. They didn't send the brace until the new rings were fitted at their end.

Strange how some came straight through and others have been caught.

Mines the whole brace too. Although, reading into it, even if it was just the rings, you would still end up paying for the vat on the brace had it not been picked up by customs the first time round.
Faxed off the papers today, so i guess i just have to sit tight... :|

What usually happens is Parcelforce hold the package and then send payment HM Customs and Excise, thats why you pay a charge to Parcelforce.
