Get a shorter ratio diff...job done and will not interfere with reliability etc
plus you'll have about £400 left for 2 track days and some fuel....

Richard, you won't find much more of a modified Z than Jason's. The mod he suggested is mentioned quite a lot on this forum and utilised by quite a few people. You could always look at a lightweight flywheel which will improve acceleration as well.

Repeat.....shorter ratio diff.........echo in hear!?
And as Justin rightly points out a light flywheel will also be good but will mostly likely take you over budget. Try a good remap by evolveyourcar.com

If you're looking for serious poke a supercharger is probably the best option

If budget isn't an issue sell the 3.0 slush box and buy a Manual M then you won't need the aftermarket quad setup either!

£3600 + shipping + Duty + VAT ............worth every penny

How much for a rebuild on an ///M engine?

You could also try to lighten your unsprung weight by fitting some light weight wheels. You can save up to 4 or 5 kg per corner.

The general rule of thumb about unsprung weight is that it is worth about 6 x its weight in performance benefits so a saving of 4 kg / corner adds up to about 80 kg equivalent saving or like removing one average adult from the car. You would get better mileage too.
Now with both the 411 bhp Supercharged Z3MR and a WRX STi Wagon getting a 3.4 litre transplant and an XKR with mods planned.

Fast is good, faster is better. Wheeeeee !!!

This is the battery in the position they left it for me, do they not know space is a premium, going to body shop in the morning to have it put in a propper place middle of boot under tool tray, will take pic of boxes underneath the car when i get my baby back on friday

Where do we get lightweight wheels- will the steel Z3 wheels fit and if so can bigger tyres be squeezed on?
