What is recommended for a bit more music without costing the earth? Contact details would be useful for any companies that people recommend.

From my limited experience I would second the eisenmanns, gives a nicer tune without being too rude boy. Not sure about cost, I paid £600 to leave them on mine.

Eisenmanns are great, but very pricey from new, and the chances of a S/H set coming up just when you're looking is pretty remote.

I've got a custom made set by Hayward and Scott of Basildon, Essex. 8-)

They will make what you ask for in terms of looks and sound.
Mine cost approx £600 a few years ago and they should still have the template so you would only need to visit once.
Read the report here:

Only complaint is that some 4.5 years later, the sound has definitely mellowed.
They're not as noisy as they used to be....or maybe that's just my hearing deteriorating!

Good luck!
A.

$19.99

Seriously I agree with the above. 2nd hand Z3m upgraded exhausts do come up occassionally (especially on German Ebay) by supersrpint, Remus (and AC Schnitzer version), etc..... but even then these premium brands tend to go for >£500 and unless they are close delivery could be expensive due to shape / weight. Eisenmann tend to be even rarer (I've seen 2 for sale in 3 years and that was actually the same exhaust which ended up staying on the car when it was sold recently).

Bespoke may be cheaper from a recommended source such as above and an offer at a fixed price may be attractive to the supplier in the current environment especially if they already have a template ie they can only say no ;-)

I am in the process of making some custom exhausts using Megan Racing MDT silencers. I could make an extra set for <£500. These are stainless silencers with dual 3" tips. All TIG welded and back purged. PM me if interested.
