I've been doing some research and have decided that I don't know how to improve the camber/caster/toe specifications. I'm quite happy with what I've got, but I'm always seeking improvement .
I understand that the BMW Engineering Department have decided on the angles to give the best compromise between handling, economy and tyre wear. As some of you change your settings, do you know what compromises are you making, or are you just sucking and seeing?
Some explanations of terms
Caster & Camber
Re: Caster & Camber
Like all modern cars the OEM set it up to understeer. That doesnt give the best compromise from the driving enthusiasts perspective.
I added a degree of camber to help, which which I thought would be noticeable whilst also avoiding wearing out the inner edge of the tyre. This it seems to achieve.
IMO there is enough caster on the M.
Most kits give you full adjustment so you can play with the settings to seek YOUR best setup.
