DUAL EAR DIFF MOUNT - FOLLOW-UP

Post by Southernboy »

As some of you ar aware, I fitted a dual eared diff mount cover to my Z3 some while back. After noticing that at least 4 spotwelds in my boot had come away from their positions, I embarked on the upgrade. Now, after a couple of thousand kms of varied driving (hard accl etc etc) I can happily say that the modification is brilliant. I have intentionally left the boot welds unrepaired, and can happily report that no further spotwelds have detached, indicating the successful distribution of forces left and right of the diff. I can now have the errant welds re-attached and rest assured they will remain intact.
