Okay So I Post On Here When....

Post by Straight_Six »

i have an incident, and its usually one that is bad and i moan about!

but i thought that this time id post an incident which was a good 1.

on my way to my m8s i travelled along the A500 heading towards newcastle, it was a very sunny afternoon so i dropped the top 8-) .

i usually toodle along at 55-60mph, and today because i had the top down i kept to my usual toodling standards so everyone could see me as they passed by :D . i noticed in my rear view mirror an old red golf (i bet your thinking not another 'golf' story :p) and i thought this was strange as it was in no hurry of passing me....anyway 10 minutes later the car comes alongside and i see two young lads (about 7/8) looking around at me and the car.

the car then pulls in ahead of me and the lads turn round. (now usually im expecting either two fingers, the middle finger or a 'wanker' sign to be shown) they then stick there thumbs up horizontaly so i can see them! :D

so stunned by this reaction it took me a few blinks to realise they were complementing me.....how cool did i feel . so i saluted the young lads and it made my day and theirs i rekon 8-)

sooo this incident made me put a little bit of faith into the young people who are in our society, as it reminded me so much of time when i used to give people the thumbs up when they had nice cars! so it was a bit of a reality check for me when i realised just how lucky i am to own such a car!

A very heart warming story, but I am puzzled as to how you stick your thumbs up horizontally :?:

In my experience the target audience for the Zed is the 10 year old boy , with the cry "nice car mister" and a big thumbs :D . THe zed and its ilk are for kids who have not grown up....or is that just me
