For the attention of Norfolk Cruisers!

Post by spokey »

Regarding the Lotus factory visit: the very kind lady at Lotus has offered to take this particular admin nightmare over from me. :D

The cost of the visit will be £20 per person. As far as I understand it, you will be expected to pay in advance.

I must stress that right now, NO-ONE is confirmed for the Lotus factory visit!!

If you want to attend the factory visit, please contact:

Lisa Hartgrove
Track Co-ordinator
Lotus Sport
+44 (0)1953 608254
LHartgrove@lotuscars.co.uk

Once you have confirmed attendance, could you please make a post here so that I know how many will be going to Lotus and how many will be on the morning bimble.

Thanks!

I wont bother with the factory visit. I prefer a dawn raid, or lay-in (depending on the quality of the beer the night before  ).

Lotus visit

Post by kjayf »

Hi all
recieved the following email from Lotus, slightly confused regarding the start time of the visit! Has the time been revised from 8 o'clock or is the 8 o'clock a meet time?

"HI Kevin

I am pleased to confirm the arrival time of 09.15am on Saturday 9th June. Please confirm the following details:

Your address
Your contact number
Your partner's names
Credit/debit card details for the payment of £40

As soon as the above information has been confirmed, all of the relevant documentation will be sent straight to you.

Kindest Regards"

Well, there was a plan for an earlier start because we thought we would be driving the track. However, since this is no longer happening and the factory tour is going to be the start and end of it, an 0800 departure for an 0915 start seems about right.

I'll try and get the Saturday Breakfast to start a bit earlier, so you can all get a bite in before you go.

I need to get to leave Norfolk for Derbyshire about 3 pm on the Saturday -Is it likely there will be a cruise to join in the morning that will make leaving Swaffham around that sort of time feasable?
Also (not having been to such an event before) and living just down the road, I was hoping to turn up on Friday evening to say hi.

You are certainly welcome to pop in on the Friday night. You could join us at the hotel for the dawn raid on Saturday at 7AM. Or you could make the morning bimble at 10AM on Saturday. This will finish on the coast at noon(ish), if you leave from there, you will get to Derby by 3(ish). :D

Won't be doing the factory visit, sorry.

Is the dawn raid on a more 'spirited' level than the usual Spokey crusies?

Lotus' only fit people who are less than 4'6" tall and 30" waist.

Hence it's not really worth me going on the Lotus visit...

Well, you're not going to drive one, you're just going to see how they're built. Manufacturing is always fascinating. ;)

Since we were not able to get the requisite minimum of 10 people on the Lotus tour, it has been cancelled. Lotus will refund the people who had booked.

Sorry.
