Euro car parts

Post by PERRIN Z3M »

Just wondered if anyone uses euro car parts, I need to change the track rods on the z3m and they are over half the price from ECP but my indy says he doesn't use them due to bad quality.

What are peoples feeling on this?

steve

Plus does anyone know what is involved in changing them and if their are any additional parts required.

I used them for parts on my Z3 as well with no problems. Might be worth calling them as they do sometimes have several options available depending on what quality/price you want.

Remember there are the 10% discount options if you are a BMW GB member or via many web site memberships.

I have used them many times without issue. Just remember that for a lot of items they offer a choice or 2 or 3 different part numbers. Typically these are either OEM, genuine original or a 'value' pattern part. If you stick to the original or OEM then you should be fine.

For tie rods and track rod ends i see they offer the 'value' pattern part and the Lemforder units. Lemforder are BMW's OEM for this part, so if you go for the Lemforder you get the same part, just without the BMW logo on it. Some times you can see where the BMW logo has been ground off so they can sell it under their own brand.

I have had parts from Euro, never had a problem. Been using GSF though for the past 3 years.

Track rod end replacement is easy, not a difficult job at all
