Okay... I like recording songs! I dont technically have a 'band' because I don't gig and get random people to play on the tracks. When I gave out CD's to people I would write 'comedy' band names on them... things like 'I LOVE MIKE', 'Gay Porn Vol. 2' and 'The Owl Stranglers'.

Anyway, Some of my songs got played on the radio, they'd been given a CD which said 'Handsome Mike' on it. It then got passed on to other people who played this 'Handsome Mike' song. Everyone found it very amusing as I'm not particularly handsome and it makes me seem really arrogant. I carried on using the name 'Handsome Mike' for any music I recorded and its now an ironic nickname and convenient username!

Phew... That took longer than i thought...

Weedram was the name of a narrowboat we used to own. So depending on how you read the sign writing it was either weed ram or wee dram. I know which one I prefer, hic.

I suppose this is the thread when we will find out if 'Maurice is a Martian' or if he is really Maurice the sheep rustler who really needs a 3 litre ( not a 2.2) to outrun the farming posse :)

Is this the young Maurice before he turned to the 'Dark side'

I had a problem getting registered on the site (story of my life) so thought I would do a 'dry run'. Couldn't think of (yet another) password so filled the box with the first thing that came into my head.. and it worked! Pure accident!

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

My surname is Lazenby so as a younger lad and interested in all things 'Eavy Metal everything became suffixed with the words "Of Doom" hence the name I carry now. Shortened to Lazers at work or Laze by particularly idle people.

And it has a Z in it.

And its a Bond car driven by a Lazenby.

Even tough he was the crap one and didn't drive a Z.

I used to regularly walk the various mountain ranges of Snowdonia in North Wales.

'Gelert' (google 'gelert dog story') was the name I gave to my own faithful 'hound' who walked many thousands of miles with me in his 16+ years. 'd1' was his litter reference.

I've had to deal with some unpleasant things in my career but none more difficult than the 'final' journey to the vets :bawl:

I said 'no more dogs' when I got back home - I seem to have acquired three of them since :)

Old username was Oxford_gruen_II in tribute to my last Zeds colour of the same name.

Current username given me by "The Minx" on account of acquiring an ///M roadster and having an obsessive desire/ enthusiasm for these cars and all things created by Bayerische Motoren Werke. :P

Problem is, since buying a VW Golf daily, I'm now developing another obsession - OGD - Obsessive Golf disorder.

Veloce is Latin derived for "rapid" OR in Italian, music being played with rapidity or speed. Max, well, obvious really, I take everything to the Max, being an Ex rally driver.

So, very loud fast music being played whilst driving a car very fast !!

Last name Evans, everyone (except Ma n Pa) calls me EVO, which was a surprise for the Mother in law at the wedding, wondering who the hell the Vicar was taliking about when he used my real first name! Then the wifes mate many years ago called me Evmundo and it stuck, been a decade and a half now!!

Even my youngest calls me Evo and not Dad lol........
