Re: Winter tyres
Hi Phil,
Well kind of
I've gone for the Vredestein Quatrac 3 all season 225/40 18 all round. They have the snowflake symbol on the tyre and rated as a winter/mud tyre but can be used all year round if required. Had them fitted to the Zed 2 weeks ago. I did a little research on these before buying them and many 3 series owners have been happy with them in the snow.
Will see how they fare.
Tim.

She loves snowmen. Stayed there for a good few hours before it blew off...

Re: Winter tyres
No “softie” hard tops and winter wheels for you then Doug. 12 inches of snow and sub-zero temperatures = roof down. Like it
Re: Winter tyres
I've had Kumho KW23s for the last couple of winters, swapping with Falken 452s for most of the year.
I look forward to the winter and the amazing improvement in grip on snow and ice over the summer tyres, but even more to putting the summer tyres back on in March!

I didn't get a soft top to have a roof.

Just remember the embarasment of having to be pushed up a slight hill from work when the front wheel drive cars went around me. Then the following year on winter tyres - same hill -no problems.

Re: Winter tyres
Ah, the white line, a much debated 'feature' well, I got her dirt cheap, had some nasty dinks in the bonnet, as the plan was for a play/do he upper a temporary measure was to fill and sand the dents. Filler = pink, never thought I'd colourmatch the paint... So I thought 'around' the box and the white stripe nicely covered the pink... It'll do till I get my uncle (professional sprayer) in the good enough mood to help me strip her down and make her a nice pearlescent white (all over)... In the meantime.. Well... Erm.... It is how it is lol...
