It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Kevan passed away earlier this morning.
I will post his funeral details later when they are finalised.

Thanks for posting Terry.

Such sad news. I never met Kevan in person but we spoke on the phone a few times and exchanged messages as we both had the 1.9. He was such a helpful guy and his zest for life when he heard of his illness was pure inspiration.

My condolences to Kevans family,

Tim.

Such sad, sad news but we will never forget that grin, the laughing eyes and the bravery; doubt that we will meet anyone like him again.

This is so sad. Kevan was a great guy, a true zed fan and will be sorely missed by our zed family. I'd met Kevan a few times at meets & cruises, he was one of life's characters. I feel privileged to have known Kevan, if only for a short while, and take some comfort from knowing that he is now at peace. RIP Kevan and sincere condolences to your family.

Sad news. He was a great guy and its so unfair for him to be taken like this. It seems like yesterday when he was driving a cruise I ran late 2011. He gave us all a lesson over the last couple of years - to enjoy life and live for the moment.

Whilst still feeling very sad I found this picture on the South Yorkshire MNDA website taken at the 2011 Sheffield Half Marathon / Fun Run where a number of people were taking part in support of MNDA. For me the way I would always like to remember Kevan - happy to laugh and help others despite his own problems.

Looks like Claire was enjoying herself as well.

Thanks for posting this Terry.

We where all greatly saddened when the news came through, the loss of an amazing friend, father and other half. I owe thanks to this forum for the opportunity to meet kev back at the Yorkshire cruise a few years back due to his kindness with an offer of a wind deflector for my zed.

From that a fantastic friendship grew. Meny hours of zedding, tinkering and a road trip to end all road trips, memories i will never forget! For that I am grateful that this forum brought me an amazing friend!

kev you will be sadly missed, I think I can say everyone who had the pleasure to me you are truely proud

RIP brother......

I am deeply saddened to learn of Kevans passing. He was an inspirational guy in how he dealt with his illness and displayed gutsy determination in how he got on with life in his final years. I never met him, but I know his friendship and assistance meant alot to many members of this forum. He will be missed.

Our hearts are with his family and loved ones in this time of sorrow.

May he rest in peace.
