I have noticed that the worst offenders are west midlands travel bus drivers - is this specific to the midlands or is all regions??

I'll take photos of the offenders as I drive past.

Hand-held camera usage is not illegal in itself!

i still see about 10 a day on my way to work :head:

I would not mind there are plenty of cheap handsfree kits about.

I still see loads of people using their phones one the way to work
the ones that bug me the most are the people that use them going round roundabouts they always seem to cut us up in the van.

You can still spot the drivers who are on their phones  either in the middle lane or doing 50 on the motorway swerving. I always had a hands free kit in the vehicles, but actually bought a blue tooth phone today :nerd:

Don't forget that a bluetooth kit does not make you legal unless the phone is secured in a cradle. Use of any hand-held phone is illegal, even if you are just dialling, then putting the phone down.

Are you sure? What if it's in your pocket or briefcase?

Well that will be OK, but you won't be able to call out easily.

I was forgetting not all phones have voice number activation. On the Nokia 6310 with bluetooth headset you just press the button on the headset and speak the voice tag to get the phone to dial the number. Works well, even with the top down.
