Sussex Scenic Tour Sunday 16th May

Post by Ragtop »

The tour starts in Bexhill on Sea and goes through Pevensey Bay, Eastbourne, Beachy Head, East Dean, Newhaven, Lewis, Ringmer, Halland, Hadlow Down and Maresfield. We then drive up into the Ashdown Forest. There will be stops on route for photos. The tour ends at the Llama Park on the A22 where we can have a light lunch. We don't have to pay admission into the Llama Park to get access to the cafe.

Meet at Galley Hill overlooking the sea from 9am. Leave at 9.50. We should get to the Llama Park at approx. 1.30pm.

Many thanks to Hang-em-high for his help in putting this tour together.

Nice car Scott although it looks like you have already been on a cruise
Is the red zed purely coincidence or is he a friend and if so is he coming on the cruise :?:

Hi Silver Roadster welcome to the forum.

The meet and cruise is when a group of Z3 owners meet up and compare cars and chat. We then set off on a drive in a convoy with several scenic photo opportunities. We will finish up at a nice place to get lunch.

On this one, we will be starting off on Bexhill seafront and finishing in Ashdown Forest and if you click on route on my post at the top of this thread., you will see the exact route. It's about 75 miles in all and it's a good opportunity to put faces to names on the form and exchange ideas on mods.

Thanks for all the welcomes :)

Sadly, I have had a small accident in my zed, damaged the front bonnet, lights and slam pannel. Its being repaired on the insurance, and they the repair shop said they will try and get it back for sunday (Explained about this meet, I think he thought I was nuts)

I am calling them on wednesday to check the chances of it being back Sat for sunday. Fingers crossed

Add me on facebook, few pictures there

Scott Pain (Profile picture of my black z3)

Completely gutted, but at least when its back will have a brand new freshly sprayed bonnet, 2 brand new lights and cleaned and polished ready for sunday :)

Hey Ragtop!

I see you seem to have plenty of high vantage points (like lighthouses) in your "darn sarf" neck of the woods

Gazza is interested by your next cruise:
garythefish wrote:Sandra and I are interested

AND is interested in our northern radial parking
garythefish wrote:I'd like to see this 'Fan' if you can pull it off
Previous meets have involved some parking their cars backwards
The question is can you come up with some novel parking and a decent photo, preferably including an unusual Zed?

The gauntlet has been thrown down, but you may like to check out our effort yesterday

Hi Titan

Really enjoying the pictures from your weekend, Guess you could have done with a lighthouse up there so we could all experience your fan.

Great photo of you in the pink Zed, not sure we can get an unusual colour Zed, but I will try to think of a unusual picture. :)

Yes - it's a shame we couldn't get a decent vantage point. There was an Aston there but he wouldn't let us stand on the roof
We tried to find a step ladder and climb the tree but I'm afraid you'll just have to take our word for it - it was perfect

Just read Gazza's post re the TT - seems like you'll have an unusual car after all :roflmao:

We will try to park in a straight line. It is not just your group who park wonky we have done it too, but there is a picture from the top of Dungeness Lighthouse where we are in a straight line. Hopefully we will get some good pictures tomorrow.
