Cruise recce Wetherby Sat 22nd May

The weather forecast is good so I'm having a drive out from Wetherby this Saturday west into the Yorkshre Dales, checking out a forthcoming cruise.

If anyone fancies joining me for the day you are most welcome.

If the route is ok AND I can find a suitable lunch venue I will post detals for the cruise. I'm thinking 20th June at the mo.

Hi Gill, the route is Wetherby, Ripley, Grassington, Aysgarth, Ribbleshead, Horton then over the little roads to Kilnsey. Somehow back to Wetherby from there.

Rich - thats great - I would be leaving Wetherby before 10am. Get there a bit earlier no doubt for a coffee. Back in Wetherby around 4pm I would think.

From Kilnsey I would go back via grassington, Pateley Bridge, Ripon.
Mrs RGF and I would certainly be up for that one!

It wont be any longer than the last one.

We are going out that way so we could come back the same route, or drop down through Bolton Abbey and the A59. I will have a go on tomtom tonight.

It was a fab drive today. Thanks to Rich for making the effort to come up. The roads were really good and the scenery fantastic. We had non stop sun - too much for my poor forehead lol. The route is about right and with a few tweaks is now sorted for the main cruise to come. Its similar to SpunkyM's cruise from 2007, with the same lunch stop.

I will put a separate post on soon for the cruise which will be run on Saturday 26th June.
