North Wales Cruise 21st August

Post by Malcolm E Zed »

Just got back after a fabulous day. Driving on fabulous roads in a fabulous car seeing fabulous scenery, best of all we met some fabulous people.

If I could be picky there were too many silver cars!!!!

Many Thanks to Taffzee for organising it all and giving us a quick history lesson at the end.

Photos to follow.

The mountain rescue were stuck in Llanberis. Morris was as good as it got.

Getting away from him would have helped you get over the bridge faster. :D

Thanks to TaffZee for organising a great day out and everyone for coming. Photos to come.

Being rear silver sweeper has left me covered in all the usual rubbish thrown up from the road but I did get a rather large dose of brake dust/ disintegrating brake pads on the evo

Thanks to Jim for great day out,and as said before great company great roads and bloody good fun.Sorry for Jamezee for all the brake dust i was was spewing out,and the smell from my rear must have been awful.
And of course Swamper,i did feel kinda sorry for him on the aquaduct  its amazing what he`ll do for a free pint.So now my next project is to work out how to to get a cold air feed to the brakes,
or maybe a fire extinguisher.

Hi Jim Thanks for reminding me, enjoyed the cruise and meeting the rest of the crew for the first time, it was a great drive.Pity there was so much traffic holding us up in the mountains.
After I left you at Maentwrog it was sunshine and very little traffic over the Crimea Pass and on to Conwy, you went the wrong way  !!! do I see wet ground at Bala?.
Hope to see you all again before too long :cheers

Hi Springer.
Nice to meet you,and your nice shiney Zed.perhaps you can do the full cruise next time, you missed out on some briilliant roads.
Not so sure if the welsh like me though.(apart from Jim),first they tried to run me off the road then they show me arse, unless im getting it wrong again and this was some sort of welsh greeting.perhaps you had the same greeting when you moved to wales.
Anyway at least the sheep are friendly

Maurice you just want to uprate your brake pads, if you're running standard ones they're not up to what sounds like long downhill heavy braking. EBC Red or Yellows would solve the issue!

I got up late, saw the weather out of the window and headed over but as I had no route map saved and just the odd place name in my head I aimed for the general area lol. As I came back through Betsycoed there was a dark green roadster behind me on it's own with a female driver with male passenger (was this part of the group??), But then I needed to get back!!

Sorry for the reaaaally late reply, but it was a fab day, great to meet you all!
Having some troubles with the Z at the mo :(
First the battery died, I hadn't driven it in 4 days, tried to charge it up etc. Was completely dead. Now my breaks are seized on! (left for work one day and it was literally smoking after about half a mile) Need to get on to my warranty company tommorrow to get it back on the road ASAP!! So frustrating. It's been stuck on the drive for over a week :head:
