Wakefield Meet - Waterton Park 13th March 2011

Post by seasurfer » Fri 21 Jan, 2011 19:15

Hi Everyone

Owing to severe weather conditions, a few of us missed the christmas meet which rgf organised at the Waterton Park Hotel in Wakefield, so we are planning another meet there
on Sunday 13th March.

Idea's so far are: rgf is getting in touch with the hotel to hopefully arrange bacon butties and a drink in the morning - then a cruise north'ish, north west, then a pub lunch. If anyone could help with a nice route or if you know of somewhere for lunch that you can recommend that would be great, so any ideas welcome.

Or, meet up for bacon butties, then have lunch at the Waterton. For those wanting a drive later, if we could ask a local to help us out with a suitable route.

We will be staying at the Waterton on the saturday evening, and already booked in :D

Would be great if a few of you can join us.

List so far:

Me and kim will more than likely be up for this. We really enjoyed the meet up in December. As far as i know one of the nicest roads above Wakefield is cutting accross yorkshire moor from Scarborough to Pickering.

If some of our 'other cars' are welcome, we may try and bring Luca along for his first Z cruise in the back of the Pork.

Only a maybe at this stage as we'll have to see if we can get infant food/high chair at the lunch venue???

Definitely willing to help with some route suggestions.

Wonder if Deano will be out in his beast?

Have I missed something here?
I thought the idea was to meet at Waterton for Sunday lunch giving those that missed the Xmas meal chance to "get their money back".

Oh and Gill - don't worry about Stu and his pork so long as Mr Chrome doesn't want a slice of the action!

Hi All

Just to recap on the initial posting, originally we were thinking of meeting at the Waterton mid morning replicating the meet which rgf organised in december then having sunday lunch there.

I have had a few pm's and messages from peeps interested who will have already driven quite a way to get there initially.

Thinking out loud, what if we still met mid morning, had a relaxed lunch there, and which have facilities for the little one, and for those who want to go for a jolly in the afternoon, in any direction :D we could wave you off, with swamper leading :D

Thoughts please?

Oh and Titan, no chance Mr T will be attending, if he had a fireplace big enough, im sure he would have that zed on it, its not for driving you know   its to look at
