Can I be awkward an move my meeting place to Ferrybridge? I fancy a bit of a blast down the motorway (in the opposite direction) anyone else coming from Leeds who fancies it?
''need I remind you 007, you have a licence to kill...not to break the traffic laws''
Sadly, as I think I posted somewhere else quite a time ago, I won't be able to make it to Newby Hall this year because of the date change. Instead, I'll be combining a week's walking with some Zedding in the Isle of Wight.

It's not my age (even though I must be 22 by now) it's my eyesight
I read "OH" as "Oh!" as in "Oh Dear!"

Officially it's A1(m)J41
M62 Hull-Manchester junction
It's very badly signed
Head for Hull/East and keep the power station on your left.
Assuming you're travelling south, have a look at THIS MAP

Thanks for the reply Titan but you are sending me to 'Ferrybridge' and not 'Boroughbridge'
Is Boroughbridge the one with the Morrisons strore in the services

Hello Brilie - a belated welcome from one Donny lad to another. Pity I won't be at Newby Hall but no doubt we'll bump into each other at some future gathering. Do you go to the BMW Car Club Yorkshire & Humberside meetings at Howden?
I too have a 1999 2.8 (built March, so one of the last pre-facelifts). Is yours pre- or post-facelift?
As a new owner I was hoping to get to Newby this year. However, at the moment the chances of being free that weekend are only about 25% so I'm not inclined to get advance tickets.
Anyone know if you can pay on the day?
If not and we're free, we'll attend as 'ordinary visitors' and still get to see cars and hopefully meet members and put names to faces.
It will be easy to get there as our caravan is just up the road at Ripon.
Fingers crossed for the 22nd

I (well, Louise) will be taking the Z4 up but as we live in Harrogate will probably go straight there.
I'm not quite sure which section to park in though as I want to keep both cars together and the Germans might not take kindly to a fat Italian in their midst and, well, I don't think there is much of an Italian contingency going!

Just signed up for Newby, Would like to know where best to meet, if coming from Cambridgeshire, as new to Newby, also first club outing, but joined Sept 2009.
Looking forward to making new Z friends.

Hi and Welcome
If you are coming up the A1 then you will be passing Ferrybridge - after the A1(M) Doncaster Bypass there is a stretch of non-motorway dual carriageway before you reach the start of a new section of motorway. You need to exit just before the start of the new motorway section - it's signed for the services and M62 Hull. After crossing a bridge over the new motorway you're back on the old A1 dual carriageway and there is a slip road that takes you down to Ferrybridge roundabout - after joining the roundabout the services are the 4th exit.
