Yorkshire Cruise 16th July 2011

Post by Deano1712 »

Im planning on running a cruise on Saturday 16th July. Meet 9am-ish for a 10am start at Ferrybridge services (M62/A1 junction). The cruise will be similar to one I ran 3 years ago, taking a long lunch in a pub in North Yorkshire. End point will be Wetherby services on the A1 at 4-5pm.

Details of the last cruise I ran in this area in 2008 is here.

If you want to come along please confirm attendance by responding to this post. All I need to know for now is whether you plan on bringing a passenger so I know how many to book into the pub for lunch. I will keep a list of attendees on the lead post here:

Attendees:

Deano1712 (2)
TrickyZ1 (1)
Canman (2)
yocky z3 2.0 (2)
pingu (1)
Malcom E zed (2)
Titan (2) lunch+pm drive
Jamezee (1)
Z3BEDEE (2)
maurice the martian (2)
NorwegianBlue (2)
garyw (?) ...maybe
Daz2626 (?) am only

Cheers,
Mark

I dont have your e mail Karl - pm it to me and I will send details.

I have now e mailed the tomtom and garmin itinery files out showing the route. I'm missing four e mail addresses in total (yocky, Malcom E, Z3BEDEE & Daz2626) so if you want the files send me a pm with your e mail address and I will get back to you.

The itinery navigates ok via 'fastest route'. Please load it up and let me know if there are any problems with it. Its good on my 720Go.

Bring a walky-talky if you have one - I will use to communicate if we have any problems whilst driving.

I plan to be a Ferrybridge services around 9am. Try to get there by 9.30 so we can have a natter and hopefully get on the go before 10am - maybe 9.45. The route is 140 miles in total so please some with a full(ish) fuel tank.

There will be 2 groups. I will be leading one and Rich (TrickZ1) wll lead the second.

The weather forecast is not looking bril so please cross fingers and toes its ok on the day :squeeze:

I'm really looking forward to it!
