Hi all, not buying my Zed until July and not finding the forum until September I have yet to join up for meet and cruise. I live at Mansfield so being very close to Derbyshire and the Peak District was wondering if this was an area where a cruise has been held in the past? Theres some fantastic roads combined with stunning scenery so would make a great day out.
Looking forward to next season!

Hi, Living in Leicestershire I am up for such an event, yet to get my zed on the road though, hopefully very shortly. I think we have various members in this region that would make Derbyshire ideal and I know the area quite well spending much time outside Matlock. Sorry to see your paint guy hasn't really started yet, hope the tonneau swop was to your satisfaction.
Regards, BB

A few of us cruise around Derbyshire, Yorkshire and we even go over to Wales when there have been cruises. Deano usually does a Yorkshire Cruise we have organised a couple of cruises upto the Lakes. To be honest this has probably been the quietest year since owning the Z's. There are also cruises run over on .org and they sometimes link to here as well.

It all sounds like good news then! I'm on here a lot so I'll keep a close eye on things in the new year then. I was looking to tax my Zed from the beginning of march. Does this sit about right with events firing up??
Thanks for the replies.
Dave

That's looking good Billz. I'm a lorry driver and cross a 616 and 628 most weeks. Cracking roads for a cruise. Be some nice villages I'm sure for a pub stop off and a bite to eat. Keep me informed, hopefully getting my Zed back by the end of the week so got time to do a few minor bits I want to get done ready for spring.

Hi,
I am over Sandbach, Cheshire and have friends over in Chesterfield so often head over that way etc….some very nice villages out that way and local pubs etc….Hartington, Buxton, Matlock etc are all very nice etc, although sometimes restrictive to get into if the weathers mega as the area gridlocks…also the Cat and Fiddle pub is a good spot, with quite a good size car park too…..certainly to the right side of Congleton as you look at the maps is all very drivable….my car is SORN until April as I only run it for the summer etc….there is an events tab in the forum for posting cruises, but its also a case of watching the weather too, as I also says to my Mrs, its more fun topless !

Are whetton tea rooms are really nice, I wouldn't know how to get there by car, only been once and parked in the carpark for the manifold trail and did it on a mountain bike. They were the days lol!! Sounds like you know the area well so should be a really cracking day out.

Lol! I bet the sounds awesome! Might upset the locals a bit! My exhaust has a rather nice rasp to it!
