FINALLY - A useful matrix sign !

Post by skeete »

On the M4 today, London bound between Bracknell and Maidenhead.

It read :

"Dont Hog the Middle Lane"

Needless to say everyone was ignoring it  , at least its saying the right things for a change.

OMG have you only just seen one of those, they've been on the M6/M74 for over a year now.

But yes you're right, they do tend to be ignored.

I work with a couple of people who confess to sticking to middle lane, (1 man and 1 woman), reason they gave....

"I can't get back out again when I need to"

"Get off the road" sprung to mind.

I would love to install one of those scrolling info panels in the back of a car and travel the motorways "educating" the poorer drivers of our society.

Just think of the things you could say on them !!! ooohh that would be fun...

Or even undertaking something in the 3rd!

TBH there are some stretches of motorway these days that are undriveable in the inside lane - but the road has to be really quiet for me to be in there - even in Froggy! :D

Could do with a matix sign that reads backwards in the windscreen too - so I could put things like - "REKNOLP UOY". :D

Cheers R.

If you can be undertaken, you are in the wrong lane.

When I see a car in the middle lane of an empty motorway I overtake in lane 3, move across to lane 1, let them overtake me, then do it again. They usually get the message by the third time.
