Any Z's from the Altrincham area?

Post by Robert T »

Hi, I'm a newbie to the board - I see a fair few Z3's and Z4's around Altrincham - would any of them be members of this board?

ImageSYMPTOMS OF A BOOST JUNKY

1. You get excited when it's cold outside.
2. You fill up every three days.
3. The size of your grin is directly proportional to the amount of boost you’re on.

Hi tags,

I hate to say it but I haven't really worked one out yet, I briefly looked on a route planner and then gave up before deciding :?
Have you got a route planned?
While I remember, I must ask Mick if there's a petrol station close by to fill up before the cruise

Alex - did your ///M come from Blue Bell in Altrincham or was it a private sale - Blue Bell had a Z on their forecourt a while back - if you got yours around Sept 2000, then this could be it

Calbens - I'd love to come to a meet sometime, but this weekend is not good for me - Friday I'm in the Lakes (parents) and Saturday I have to be at the school fair down here (a fete worse than death) - Sunday will unfortunately be reserved for all those laborious husbandly duties.

Spotted 3 Z3s and a Z4 between 5 and 5.30 pm yesterday.

Blue Z3 on A56 by Dunham Forest Golf Club, roof up, I flashed and waved, but couldn't see whether I got a wave back.

Silver Z3 at roundabout in Knutsford. Blonde lady driver. Didn't even notice my existance, let alone wave back.

Glimpsed a bluey green Z3 (couldn't tell the exact colour), Knutsford side of Toft. Gentleman with unkempt hair, concentrating furiously on the road. Ignored my flashing and waving.

Grey Z4 coming out of Radbrooke. I didn't want to cause an accident, so I only waved. No response.

Far too many Z's round here with miserable owners... :bawl:

Hi Robert - welcome to the board!

I live near Ringway Golf Club and always see loads of Z's around Hale and Altrincham but never really get any waves either

I have a Topaz Blue 2.0 (V reg) so keep waving if you see me

Thanks Griff - I go that way quite often, so I'll watch out for you.

Just seen a Topaz Z3 at Tesco's now (9.30pm), but I think it was on a W plate. It had cross spoke alloys on it.

I also caught a glimpse of a silver Z3, but it left before I got down the escalator. It also had cross spoke alloys on it!

Didn't see either owner.

And yet another non-waver in a Silver Z3 coming the other way on Stamford New Road with roof down at about 2.15pm.

Also a steel grey Z3 on a W plate on the bottom floor of the multi-storey, parked with its roof down. Looked a bit grubby, so I doubt it was anyone on here

Common as muck round here, these Z3's...

Whahey I finally got a response :bounce:

Silver Z3 coming towards me yesterday, top down, just before the M56 roundabout by the Manchester Airport Marriott. Guy gave me (or my wife!!!) a big grin and a wave. Obviously enjoying the unseasonably warm weather...

I'm happy now! :D

Z3's in Altrincham area

I'm based in Hale Barns. Look out for a Red 1.9 Z3. Hope you can make the BMW gathering at Tatton Park in September - worth a visit.

I was intending on going (if the wife will let me  ), but I'm not a BMWCCGB member, so I will probably just be wandering round.

I'll keep an eye out for you - not that many red Z's around here! Promise you'll wave?

Cheers R

Z'ds in Altrincham

Hi Robert
The Car Club are very accommodating to non-members - it's one way of attracting people to the fold. Just turn up with your car, pay at the gate and join us. As far as waving is concerned its likely to be my wife who's driving - no problem she understands the interest in the Z3.
Cheers MikeR

Whahey! I got a smiler! :D

Driver of a metallic grey Z4 gave me a big grin turning into Regent Road as I was waiting to pull out. I grinned back. Thanks, made my day!
