mobile car kit

Post by LP »

hi all, does anyone have any suggestions as to the best type of car phone kit - I have an alpine 9833 head unit and have been recommended the parrot CK3100 bluetooth to link to it. Anyone else using this system?

thanks

hi,

I have been looking at bluetooth car kits recently and based on my research it seems that unless you plan to use different makes of phone with the kit then a kit form the maker of your phone is the best option.

It seems that although there are standards for bluetooth car kits, not all makers follow the standard exactly. This results in annoying incompatibilities the mean you don;t always get the full functionality.

I looked at the Parrot and unless you plan to spend a lot of time using the phone in the car, the cheaper CK3000 seems just as good. Sure, you don't get the additional display, but there isn't many places to fit one in a Z anyway.

Check out the forums on www.expansys.co.uk Their prices aren't bad, but you can get better.
