Newbie with Z3 3.0

Post by JamesRowe »

Hello everyone!

Finally had an acceptance, so I'm on here :). So thought I'd say bonjour.

I own a '00 Cosmos Black Z3 3.0 and have done since Christmas Eve last year, been around on many different since. Owned many many cars, from my first 1.4 Civic to an M3 Evo Conv. and an S2000. Had many many Hondas, Civics with K20s and B18s in, owned an MX5, had a few Golfs too. Now on my 3rd BMW, (M3, 328 and now the z).

Here are a couple of pics of my last few cars (Last two I MISS :():

Hi and Welcome. That S2000 looks great. Your Z looks good too but I suspect by seeing what you did to the Honda that it will not stay standard for very long?

Cheers dudes :).

Performance wise, handling the S was better tbh. Not going to lie, pure grunt I'd say the Z is abit quicker over all. Issue with the Hondas as we all know is the small 4 pot engines lack in torque and rev to hell and back. I prefer the extra grunt of the straight 6.

Dont get me wrong tho, I miss my s2k alot.

I had an S2000 when they first came out and sold it after a few months for a profit (there was a long waiting list for them). To be honest I never got to grips with the non turbo jap engines, too much hard work and that dash did my head in

Wheels aside, what other styling modifications do you have in mind? There's not an awful lot available for the Z3 so people looking to modify them tend to get creative... 8-)
