Hi,
New to the forum and proud owner of 1998 1.9 roadster. ( will get some photos up soon)
I'm slowly putting basic things right, new exhaust and tyres and am considering putting on Roll Bars. Is this a straight forward job and does anyone know a good supplier?
Thanks for any advice.
ROLL BARS
Re: ROLL BARS
The simple answer is........its not that difficult to do but sourcing all the parts you need will expensive and time consuming. Car breakers and eBay is your best bet but be prepared to wait a while for them to come up.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
To get an idea of what is involved in fitting roll hoops, have a look at this thread.

Re: ROLL BARS
Welcome !! Depending on your interior colour scheme, if you go onto eBay UK search under BMW Z3 Roadster..Parts...Used... You will find a seller with a complete rear trim + Roll bars in Beige... If you look at the pic he has posted, you will see the rear storage box and side trims are there and that they differ from the non-roll bar set-up...
Also seen a pair of roll bars (OEM) going there for £24.00 which is still reasonable, although it doesn't include any mounting brackets etc..
First thing is to determine if your current trim set-up is prepped for roll bars or not. If the rear storage box and side trims on your car have the same set-up as in the photo mentioned above, you may have brackets already fitted..
Have fun with the project, and look forward to seeng some pics..
