Yet ANOTHER newbie - this time from Birmingam

Post by Big_Al »

Hey everyone. Picked up my "new" Z3 a week or so back, so have been looking for a suitable forum to join and ask anoying questions - and this seems to be the place!
She's a 1.9 roadster in silver, built in 1998, She's got a good few miles under her belt and is a little rough round the edges - but the same goes for me.
I'm based in Birmingham (although from Edinburgh originally) and it's my first BMW car, although I've had a few of their bikes in the past, and still have one.

So, brace yourselves for a barrage of stupid questions - although I was a motor mechanic in a former life (at VAG dealers), so hopefully they won't be too stupid....

Hi and welcome Big Al from another 1998, Arctic Silver 1.9 owner.
If you were a VAG technician I don't expect your questions will be that stupid and more likely you can help us DIYers :D

Welcome Big Al. We have had our 3.0 Z3 just over 6 months now. I have a smile on my face every time I drive it. I am also in Birmingham. :P

Welcome to the Forum mate and good luck with your new Roadster.

As said, I don't expect your questions or queries to be silly and also, if you're ex VAG expect some questions from some of us who own VAG stuff too.

Welcome, :)
