Hi Hodder
That's not far from me. Sounds like a good place to organise an afternoons cruise.

Great Road B3081 Wiltshire

Post by Hodder »

Not sure if everyone knows about this one and whether I am the last person to discover it but this is a really cool road. It’s the B3081 just out side of Shaftsbury, Wiltshire. It’s got a series of chicanes and turns which are more typically found in the Alps rather than in the middle of Wiltshire. Obviously a few car enthusiasts already know about it as I passed at least two Porkers and an Elise going the other way. Best thing is you can go as fast as you like and you won’t exceed the national speed limit! Worth a look if you in the area and fancy some tail out action!

Be sure to watch out for cyclists though! Attached is an image of the road from Google earth.

That could well figure in the

Dorset Cruise

I was checking Ci's route out last week in the sunshine and it runs very near there!

Yes, will do that. Booked for lunch at the Rock Inn on the 25th Feb.

Please email me a copy if you still have the picture of my Zed flying the flag in the line up in Switzerland on the airfield, ta.

Enjoy the Cruise lads, unfortunately I have to go to Nigeria tommorrrow for at least 8 weeks. - Not the nicest place, but have to do something to pay for the M's servicing! Will be in touch on my return.
