My embarrasing start to Z ownership
My embarrasing start to Z ownership
Here are a couple of pics of the slightly neglected beauty.
The spec is Topaz blue with matching leather, CD, chrome pack. Can you guess what's under the hood?
and the mileage I'm starting from
Will be getting lots of TLC over the next few weeks ready for some thrilling top down action over the summer... and then some.

Two exhausts, so I'd say 6 pot.
Being facelift and not having crome kidney grills I'd say not 2.8.
2.2 or 2.0. V Reg - I think - is 1999 isn't it? - so not 2.2
My guess is 2.0

Alloys aren't the best way of spotting different Zed variants. You need to look for the more subtle differences. Chrome tailpipes and kidney grills are a BIG clueZedMatt wrote:2.0 indeed
Well deduced. I didn't realise the 2.8 had chrome kidneys I've, so far, used alloys as my spotting method for standard Z's. That loses its accuracy around here though, not many running about on standard shoes.

2.0 Exactly the same as mine bar the mileage and I've got the chrome pack.
Twin Pipes, fogs + alloys are what make it a 2.0 I think the 2.2s have the 2 piece or same style but one piece alloys.
My kidney grills wouldn't help you, as they're the chrome ones (which look really good with the rest of the chrome pack) as Hexagon of Highgate fitted the wrong ones when they replaced my bonnet No complaints from me! Piccie in my sig is pre-mashing up the bonnet of course...
