Hi guys,

I would just like to say a warm Hello to you all.

I am now a member who has just joined today and look forward to chatting to many of you. I

would even like to join some Z events in the upcoming months.

Below is my Pride and Joy - Black Beauty - 1.9 1997
Modifications:

Black Sports Grille at front Aftermarket
Black and White Carbon Fibre BMW Badges all round
The Traditional Black and White Furry Dice :O)
Lowered 35mm on Apex Racing Springs

Currently on Standard 16" OEM BMW 5 Spokes as below:

Modifcations being added this week:

18" Zito Titan Alloys
Black with Polished Lip 8 J Alloys on low profiles (Will Update the pictures on the weekend)

Image

There are some beautiful Zeds on here, its clear to see you all look after them very well.

I had one or two questions if possible:

1) My Z3 is lowered 35mm to anyone who has 18 inch alloys, i am having the alloys fitted on Friday this week with the car on the lowered springs, i will put the old BMW springs in the car just in case it needs to be raised by the garage, i would prefer to have the car at a lower Stance on these rims, would anyone who if they are on 18s lowered to 35mm or more whether any rubbing happens on the front arch or if the turning circle is affected at all?

2) I would like to Add a signature with a personalised picture of my Z any ideas (easy ways on how to do this) i am a bit stuck on how i would upload the pic for my signature have read FAQs but still confused.

3) Also how do i post images to display on the page in here, i have put Image next to the url the picture then fails with a X next to the image? Any ideas guys.

Thanks for reading guys.

Hi Kris and welcome to the forum,

2) is easy enough - create a small signature picture and upload it to flickr/imageshack/photobucket - then go into User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Signature and enter some text and some IMG tags to link to your image (see below for how).

3) IMG tags are correct, but the link you were pasting doesn't look right. I fixed the above images for you by going to flickr/imageshack and asking it to give me the BBCode to put into a forum - just copy and paste. They usually put a pair of URL tags into this that make the image into a hyperlink back to the original album, but all you need it the IMG tags. The link is different for the image than the album:

Code: Select all

http://www.flickr.com/photos/88694844@N04/8091251266/
Versus the direct link to the image

Code: Select all

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8091251266_6e69cd142c.jpg
On flickr, if you go to Share -> Grab HTML/BBCode and select BBCode you get something like this:

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/88694844@N04/8091251266/][img]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8091251266_6e69cd142c.jpg[/img][/url]
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/88694844@N04/8091251266/]BlackBeautZ[/url] by [url=http://www.flickr.com/people/88694844@N04/]blackbeautz3[/url], on Flickr
You can then prune this to the bit that you really need, which is the first set of IMG tags.

Cheers R.

Hi Captain

Thanks should look great with the 18s on Friday.

Can you please tell me for my avatar how I show my car like yours in high quality still without the image distorting at 80x80 can you use a program to make a standard car image small and good quality for avatar size?
