When you're as busy as me trying to produce real quality upgrades for the Z3 members...have a look at the seat lift kit I just posted today....Now that takes some determination...The "sex bolts" had to be purpose made as they just don't exist in that high grade steel or in that size anywhere on planet earth...well, they do now!! :D

"Sex bolts", gratuitous pussy shots, you really are lowering the tone, Barry. :roflmao:

And if that's you in the last shot, you look nothing like I imagined! :-)

Zed does indeed look very tidy. :D

Now if we can only get you to master posting links...

Thats one of the nicest pre facelift Zeds I've seen for a long time, some nice mods there, love the wheels, the Z4 steering wheel looks kinda strange on a Z3, probably as its so familiar, but looks great.

Your not how I imagined either

Yep..the roll hoops are red leather upholstered...The Z4 wheel is the greates...it's somewhat smaller than the OEM Z3 wheel and thicker. I still would like to add another layer of leather to it to make it a little chunkier..will have to wait until I get the diff / boot thing sorted... it's now up to 5 spot welds popped....but still worth the effort to preserve the car.

Good question...It's one of the reasons I considered it a good buy...The natives love vehicles they can fit entire extended families in...this kinda puts paid to that characterestic...also, they have a profound respect for a well maintained car...so none of the petty vandalism you seem to have in the UK. I feel very comfortable driving top down here...more than in the 4 x 4 which is close to top of their "wanted" list. They are absolutely moggy about the e30's, but mostly the youngsters for drifting purposes. From their perspective a Z isn't a car...what's the good of a 2 seater.... :D

Ah good to hear. I have to say it never was an issue when I lived in Ireland.. but I was always careful as to where I left the car. I didn't trust anyone anyway :D

Since moving to Germany however, I don't have a care in the slightest. Cars are a passion over here and especially being in the home of BMW :)

It's not a fight club...The large red "NO" is positioned in front of the knife, gun and "18 years old"... I was driving through the area and saw it...Quaint ! The area is a melting pot of what the Americans call "Trailer trash" and indigenous Africans. The results are, well "colourful" ?Image

If you saw the pics right at the top of this post, you will have seen the beige interior it had until the end of last year...so boring and "un-roadster". decided to change it to something more in keeping with the convertible image...I must add, the red / black took a while to become accustomed to, and the red is now slightly darker than when it was fresh a few months back, so I'm really pleased with the outcome. The dash leather trim was the most difficult, the rest is fairly straight forward to fit. Also the carpet was a bit of a B...especially under the heater box, but nothing some choice words needed to sort it.

Me too, beige + wood, lovely and restful, makes me feel laid back and calm. I guess I'm just a traditionalist/retro sort of guy. The red interior would give me a headache, but hey, variety is the spice of individual life.

It's just that I prefer wood and beige. But I'm not a BOF! When I get into Zelda its just a calm and laidback feeling that I couldn't get with bright colours in front of me, but when the temp. gauge needle gets to 12 o'clock, time, as you say, to enjoy the roadster life with some spirited driving, which I certainly do. :D

Your car looks great by the way, super work.

Cheers chum,

Leatherwork was done by an autotrimmer. I stripped and assembled the interior once he had sewn his magic. The most difficult bits were the dash because they weren't leathered before, and had the vynil covering which had to be stripped off the base plastic moulded parts. I drove around for a week without a dash, and the instrument cluster propped on the re-inforcing crossbar which is under the dash....felt like driving a Honda.
