Useful tips: Be careful the edges of the roads are a bit indistinct and there were a few large stones lying in the middle of the lane.
Where it is: Scottish Borders near the A74(M)

The road from Leadhills to Elvanfoot is a good one as well . I do it everytime I visit Mater 'n Pater.
Have to stop in Sanquar for the youngest to mention Ralph and Hughie. He looks like this... . Her indoors tells me everytime "We're never doing that road again". I just respond with my usual charm...
