If you do it its worth doing a recce lap first as plod are well onto fast runs around it now ;-)

If your really really lucky you get a few laps to yourself in nice weather :-) The best day I ever had there was during the week the kids went back to school after the summer hols, great weather and it was that quite I parked the car in the middle of the road for pics on the Horseshoe pass (which is nearby).

I did some runs in mid wales this summer and there are better / more scenic roads than the evo but the evo feels like you have done/learnt a circuit.

Agree with Jonntt lots of better scenic roads but if you can get the Evo free of plod and traffic it is a terrific driving road. We did it earlier this year and me, Karl (in his Porsche) and Peteslag really pushed it and it does feel like you are on a race circuit. If you are going for a blast then i would recommend sending someone up ahead to make sure its clear and have radios.

I've done it twice this year and agree with the above comments, also worth taking the road to Ruthin which we found to be a most excellent route to get from the Horseshoe pass to the EVO route..

The EVO is the most fun you can have off the track. An utterly brilliant road, what a shame we can't cone it off and turn it into our own little Nurburgring.
