Same car as http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... =4&t=45169

I understand the car didn't sell at Coys but no reason was given.

It's off E-Bay today but in the Coy's sale at Blenheim Palace in July.
I visited the current owner who has a car restoration business in Bicester, Oxon. See www.projectshop.co.uk
He also owns an E30 325i Sport, so he's not giving up the engine characteristic.
Unfortunately, on the day I visited the Z1 was off site in preparation for its appearance at a previous Coy's sale.

Yes. Mrs RT is less keen. Not less keen on a Z1. Just less keen on any "superfluous" motorcar.

But I am still recovering from the unpleasant shock of having sold mine not terribly long before they suddenly added about 50% in value, which doesn't help the man maths.

Do we know F331 DRN? Urgrün with grey nubuck and camouflage. 51000 miles. Features in the next CCA auction. My neighbour just sent me details. If anyone was in the market door a Z1, it would be worth a look.

Brought to sell by Sytner Leicester, not sure from who though. Sytner group have had a few recently, I believe the group sales manager owns a red one

Back on the market, once again via Bonhams, having been sold 10 months ago for £41.4k http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23599/lot/358/

Same mileage, (17k kms) and using the same photographs taken at Tigastor, where my Z1 currently resides. However, I very much doubt it is "fresh from servicing at Dmworx of Aylesbury" having been serviced by them 12 months ago. Not a bad return if it sells at the higher end of its guide price of £66k plus money for old rope for Bonhams if they use the same description and photographs once again.

Thats' a bummer, I need a left hand unit, (if fact I only need the clear plastic lens), due to an annoying crack from a stone which triggers my CDO.

Left side lense looks to be readily available for €190 or thereabouts - see https://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-ersatztei ... bt=63_0035

Thanks Felix, I will drop them a line.

I am not going to pay £560 for a complete light unit from BMW UK who refuse to sell the £195 lens separately.

Surely you can just order by part number from the UK dealer?

Sadly not, BMW UK will only sell the complete light unit, 5-7 days from Germany. The lens part number has been discontinued.

Confusingly BMW classic parts shops says the opposite - only right lense is available. https://shop.bmw-classic.de/bmw-classic ... asVIN=true# And cheaper too.

Looks like the Red Bonhams Route Z1 didn't sell.

Meanwhile, I have a new left hand side light / indicator cover sitting on my desk courtesy of Leebman complete with gasket and the fragile clear and orange plastic headed screws. Thanks for the heads up Felix. I will keep the cracked one as a spare should anyone need a working replacement in a hurry.

I am still miffed that BMW UK will only sell sub assemblies rather than the required parts, however, by the time the parts arrive from Germany to BMW UK and then to the dealer it's easier, quicker and much cheaper to order parts on line direct from German suppliers.

Yes they are, I've just received both sides from them :D
I changed my browser to google chrome, with the built in translator and it made their website easy to navigate and order from.

The left hand side of mine was cracked, and although the right hand side was intact I'd been given an mot advisory some time back (slight deterioration to front indicator lenses) so took the opportunity to get both whilst available.

At €384.89 inc postage and packaging not cheap! for two pieces of plastic, gaskets and screws, but as TJS has already mentioned BMW UK can't supply the left hand lens separately and can't say when it will be remanufactured!

Many thanks to Felix for originally posting the Leebman link, and Tony for confirming they can deliver the left hand side lens.

I'm gonna take this as an early Xmas present.
