i have just got mine, looks like good preps the trick, get any traces of polish off the handels on the car and i am rubbing them down with surgical spirt, then use the primer with the covers if yours are the same
e.doing mine at weekend, where did you get the tail pipes from if you dont mind me asking.pete

If the handle covers are backed with 3M tape then give the door handles and good rubbing with some meths and do them a few times until the black plastic goes dull.
I remember I fitted the surround part first, important bit is to test fit first and lift the handle part to ensure it clears the surrounding part OK. Test fit a few more times so you know exactly where its to be positioned as once it sticks it will be a rugger to remove. Then fit the handle cover and again ensure it will clear the surround OK and not catch as they can do

Just fitted new tailpipe trims to mine £16 each from BMW.
Ended up grinding the old ones of (very easy), used wire brush on drill to clean up the tailpipes, The screw to secure them was removed as they are a really tight fit and the small square nut on the inside of the trim jam on the tailpipe, Used a light coating of copper grease on the tail pipes and inside the new trims, Very gently tapped on using a piece of softwood as a protector, dont hit them tap them gently or you will bend the trim,s, make sure they go all the way on this will give a slightly staggered look to the pipes. Job Done

Here's a tip, don't fit these and use your car whilst there is salt on the roads because I did and it has ruined them. They have come out in spots, which polish away but not completely. Had no choice but to use her in the snow because my wife wrote off her VW Eos and we need 2 cars. Now have 60 plate Eos and Z off the road.
