fitting kit

would not be needed as the outer mounts are welded to the car while the inner ones are bolted in ( have done this twice )
Those type of bars are more for cosmetic reasons and can be used to mount a wind deflector .
inside the raised plastic trim you will see a round area that needs to be cut out .
see this thread

http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3439

shows welded outer mounts and bolt on inners . you will need to drill a hole to get at the torx screws but can be blanked off afterwards.

Just to be clear, this is a one-piece rollbar and fits to the outer mounts only. These are actually steel tubes welded to the chassis and the top anchor for the seatbelt is attached to them. They should also have a plate facing inboard with two threaded holes in them for the securing Torx bolts.

On some zeds the plastic covering for the seatbelt turrets has a round cap in the top, which can be removed easily. Inside may or may not be filled with polystyrene, which has to be cut away. However in order to access the Torx bolts, a second slot is needed in the side of the turret, and this is normally achieved by buying the rollhoop version of the turret. These are about £40 apiece. You can of course cut the ones you have. To get them off the car, you will need to remove the storage box, as the inboard screws are obscured by it.

See the knowedgebase thread for full details and lots of pics of the install.

Cheers R.
