Superb photos! These got me really excited as we're setting off on Sat for the Pyrenees - ambling slowly through Normandy& Brittany, spending a few nights here and there and getting to Pyrenees the following Sat and staying a week in a lodge near Luz St Sauveur before heading to Med coast near Barcelona for a week's sun (hopefully!) then a week meandering back up France via Auvergne and Loire.
Sadly, we're not taking the zed this year as we seem to have too much gear! My idea is to take careful note of what we don't use/need and attempt same again next year but in the Zed!

The big mountain shots were on the Col de Tourmalet as an ex bikie I had to go up it (I'd never be able to manage it on a bike now). We stayed at a hotel just outside Bagnères de Bigorre the rooms were so-so, restaurant good and the garden brilliant alongside a fast flowing mountain river. We stooged around the area and some of the scariest roads with unprotected drop-offs of 300ft and more were in the foothills, single track and NO PASSING PLACES.
Scenic overload where-ever you looked. To us the biggest draw-back to the area was the locals, the're not so friendly as in our part of of France.
