annoying glovebox rattle !

Hi all. anyone know if a good fix for my glovebox - it rattles like a good un ! I have tried adjusting the catch but seems that the latch seems to have a lot of sideways play . i have greased it but still no foot. cheers in advance !

I wedged a bit of cardboard up behind mine, crude but effective.

Here's a simple and elegant solution....Go to your local hardware shop and by a half meter of "weather strip" It's a foam rubber strip available in various thicknesses and has a peel off paper on one side which exposes a sticky suface on the foam. stick it to the lid or the box - whichever is better for you, and it'll take up the slack between the two surfaces. Obviously have a look at how thick a strip you need, and apply accordingly.
