Z3 front side lights

Post by Zedbedee »

I have cracked one of the sidelights on my facelift Z3. Has anyone used these:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230692966588? ... 1423.l2649
The pictures don't look long enough to fit into the slot in my front bumper and I don't want the agro of sending them back if this is the case.

Thanks.....

Cheaper than OEM at around £23 each

There appears to be three different sellers on Ebay supplying these lights, all at slightly different prices but having contacted them I believe they are all the same company!!
Waiting for confirmation of size before I order (or not), OEM price seems very high.

I've just had confirmation from the suppliers that the sidelights offered on Ebay are not the same size as my original ones, even though they are described as BMW Z3 front sidelights. Be warned....
Any other ideas??

I've bought side bumper and side repeaters from these guys they arrived quickly and the fit was fine with no problems.

Hi TJ65,
That's interesting. They are advertised as being for the Z3 but the picture looked wrong so I queried it and was emailed back that they wouldn't fit!
Can you tell me the company you bought from, I'll get some and give it a try.

Hi Zedbedee
I got mine from xenons.uk and they fitted without any problems, if the weather is fine tomorrow I'll take it out of the garage and take some pics and post them for you.

Your welcome, it gave me an excuse to get it out of the garage and then seeing as it was out of the garage it seemed rude not to take it out for a spin

Likewise. Enjoyed a few miles around South Somerset this afternoon with top down, really nice, even with just 2 litres! I'm always surprised at the number of people with tops up on a day like today but the plastic and nylon mesh wind deflector does make a lot of difference to the comfort level.
When I got back my neighbour had a flat tyre which made me check my spare. Flat! Tried pumping it up and it is leaking around the rim. Rubbish place to put a spare under the car.I believe the Z3M and lots of new cars don't have spares anymore so I think I'll investigate the alternatives.

Which one have you broken?
I have a nearside one if that's what you need (the offside one is cracked :head:)

You must park at the same supermarket!
I'm sure it was a shopping trolley corner that dinged ours :bawl:

Ditto for me - shopping trolley culprit. I bought mine from local dealer IIRC about £28 last year.
