not a purchase as such (more a liberation from my work) I now have warm white footwell lights in the form of flexible sticky backed led strips (I have hidden them up under the footwells so you cant see the strips :) ) another thing I did today, again not costing anything was - after driving around for the last couple of months with my new 16 inch wheels, it suddenly accured to me that I still have a 15 inch spare (insert facepalm smiley here) so I ditched it today and im now spare wheel free  im not too worried as I have a Mercedes tyre pump complete with the liquid that are supplied now instead of a spare.

A new head unit :-)

Image

Decided against a DVD player as they are so expensive for a decent one with all the features I wanted.

Went for a new kenwood unit with built in parrot Bluetooth for hands free calling, sd slot, aux port, USB connection for the iPod/iPhone and Bluetooth audio streaming. Oh and it's also got one of them slots that you put them shiney round things in, think they used to be known as CDs? ;-)

Fitted it this afternoon and it sounds great but still all the settings and stuff to play around with :-)

That's probably still the correct spare for your car. Just because the wheel is a different size, doesn't mean the rolling circumference is different.

A full set of new boots. The old tyres were well shot and techinally illegal I suppose. Nice to be able to go around corners again.

Boot Lid re-spray
Both Sills done too
Front Bumper polished some marks out (marks care of a crappy parking effort by a local mum collecting sprogs from school one day)

Got this done at Peterborough Trim Repairs in Woodston, Peterborough and they have done a very good job of tidying up my 2.2

Would recommend them to anyone in the area their tel number is: 01733 235 191

Can't load a photo as camera has decided to throw a wobbly and will find it's way to the dustbin shortly!

Good way to "bond" with the car and get to know all its underneath bits though SB. :D

Just fitted a new set of Pagid front disc pads and inspected/cleaned/greased the calipers - surprising how much brake fluid I had to syringe from the filler bottle as a result of fitting new, fat pads. Aim to flush the brake fluid next week.

Finally got me one of these: -

Image

Bought second hand with the correct boss for the Z3/E36, great mod but I must admit to being disappointed with condition. Just missed a new one being sold on Z3MCoupe forum by a couple of hours :head:

P.S. the missing raid badge is now back on.

Flushed around 1 litre of new DOT 4 brake fluid through my system so that it was running out nice and clean through each calliper.

Real easy Tim, if you buy the correct wiring harness boss etc it is a 10min job. If you adapt your existing harness is takes a little longer. Great modification :)

Nolathane Bushes >> front end;drop links + ARB mount bushes
for the rear end; diff mount ,subframe,+adjustable camber thingies and drop links oh and oil for the diff.
From aceman seat bushes.
Well that is an improvement all round ,especially on the twisty bits.
Had the rear end work done by Racelign.

That looks smart, a good bargain, especially with the chrome circular gauge trims!

I already have them on my current dials. Didn't know they were sought after. Will stick them in stock exchange if it interests somebody, when the ally trim arrives.

Retrimmed Brian, the steering wheel above is the Raid one I bought recently, I did however have my last steering wheel done by the same guy, he thickened that one up and it did feel a lot better.
