WARNING - Polishers look away now!
WARNING - Polishers look away now!
I know many of you Zedders like to keep your Zeds immaculately clean and to be honest so do I.
However my car is also used everyday to rack up high mileage and is used hard.
The funny thing is that these photos actually make it look cleaner than it is. In reality, it is filthy, minging and absolutely disgusting. But it seems so pointless washing it when five miles down the road it will be dirty again.
Does anyone have a dirtier car they'd care to admit to?
Regards
Peter

Re: WARNING - Polishers look away now!
That is a really dull looking car !! Mine has only ever come close when I was away for 6 weeks, and by the time I returned, it was covered in a film of dust, cat footprints and cat hair on the soft top - they use it as a hammock.
Re: WARNING - Polishers look away now!
It will be another week at least before it is worth washing it as once the thaw sets in there will be even more muck on the roads. Glad to see the car being used, would love to use ours more but restricted to cars less than 10 years old for work. I'll probably get roped in to clean the kids cars when I get round to cleaning mine as well.

I think Z3s look really nice with a hard top on – almost like a completely different little car.

You want to see the state of my Freelander after a week of driving up and down muddy farm tracks. I think when it goes in for a service the mechanics put a plastic cover on the drivers seat to keep their overalls clean! Partly why I bought a 2nd car (Z3M) was so I had a clean car at the weekend.

This is what my old zed looked after a summer day on Estonian chalky gravel roads. Picture taken after a rather scary experience with a road of jeep standard into a nature reserve. Not the type of place you really take a sports car
There was chalky dust everywhere in and out of the car for months.
But she was beautiful all the same!

My Z3 was dirty earlier today, but I visited the car wash. Here are some pics of my really dirty MINI Cooper though.

A car should either look mint or well used.
Personally, I think some of the best looking cars are ones that were obviously mint and have then been ragged along dusty roads and now look minging, but shiny under the dirt .

Was delighted to return to my car after a day at work and see that a large lorry had done this to my car!
My car looks 'well used' every week and gets cleaned every Sunday.

Rare in Z3m fitment and on the car when I got it.
Reluctantly sold when I ended up with so many other wheels
