My car still has its original exhaust but has a small amount of surface rust. I'd like to extend the life of the exhaust as long as possible and was thinking of perhaps painting it?
The ideal paint would be silver or black, preferably brush on and that could be painted directly over the surface rust?
Is there such a paint on the market?

Re: Painting exhaust
Regarding the surface rust, give it a clean up with wire wool, then you should be ok.
The paints are very thin, put plenty of sheets down to protect the floor.
