Are titanium and artic silver the same?

Post by fish »

Hi,
Can see that titanuim and artic silver have different paint codes, but are they different or not? Read the artic had more of a blue tint? Looking at it from a hard top perspective….any comments?

They are definitely different, I bought my titanium hardtop from a guy who had an arctic silver car and you can tell the difference. Like you said, arctic is more blue.

Yes the two silvers are different and IMO do not belong together on the same car, looks like a bad paint job if you mix the 2.

Thanks for feedback….a hardtop seller had indicated it was the same paint but re-branded/released etc….I didnt think was the case as I have seen both types paint and would say the titanium was perhaps a bit more glossy, more of a sheen than the arctic. Dont really know the technical terms of paint to differentiate.

If you see the two parked side by side, you'd see the difference immediately. They really are different colours.

309 Arctic Silver
354 Titanium

Gookah had a few pictures somewhere of his old artic silver hardtop on my titanium silver zed. It didn't look horrendous but you could certainly see the difference. Depends how fussy you are and whether you want it the correct colour to match as after all the hardtop is only on for several months a year.

To me I don't think it stood out too much, in fact I couldn't really be sure which colour the hardtop actually was as it looked slightly different on both cars..

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
