Z3 Heated rear window switch - model specific?

Post by Dino D »

Hi All,
Just wondering if the HRW switch (pre and post facelift) for the Z3 is specific to the Z3 or can you use e46/e36/e30 etc switches instead?

...Can't say...you may find the connectors are different. Best way to check is with the part number on realoem...enter the part number, and it'll tell you which models it is common to...

According to BMWFans.info, the pre-facelift switch is Z3 and E23 7-series only: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/61311376444/

The facelift switch is Z3 only: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/61318381912/

Thanks for that. That would explain the high prices of them then...

I have just bought and fitted a works hardtop to my facelift 2.0 Z3 and withit came an old style HRW switch with chunky terminals.
I had to cough up £55 from the steelers but I did want it all to look original. Hence I have a HRW switch if any one wants to make me an offer
